These assholes have been found guilty of plotting to cause massive destruction, and loss of life in our country.
They have been told that their life sentences mean life, and will probably die in prison.
I bet it doesn't happen though, because the EU will probably rule that we are infringing their human rights!
They will rot in jail for a few years, living very comfortably compared to most, only to get out and do it again to get their revenge!

I say we should indoctrinate them while they are in prison --with Christianity and the Bible --that being the only heart-changer I know about.

What you must realise Barb, is that to try to indoctrinate them with our religion would be infringing their human rights (god forbid!) The are not reasonable people like you and I, but fanatics, which is why they should never be freed!

i think you are right about harry --that he shouldn't be their target over there.
I haven't read enough yet to know what all bothers you about your country. I have listed you as a blog site on my blog. One Ohioan writes on France and their politics as he lives there now and is also our age. I've listed his blog, also --it is called The Brain Police. He is liberal compared to me and sometimes very disrespectful. but his blogs on France are colorful --a window on that part of the world.
I have an internet penpal in India also --and write to missionaries in Hungary.
The internet does connect us around the world.
Have you seen the movie Amazing Grace, yet? about Wilburforce and the end of the slave trade. An excellent film on an important story, I think.

About the prisoners --America's liberals and media are screaming loudly about the rights of the fellows at GITMO prison --wanting them to have trials, etc. Yet, here the Taliban are uprising in Afghanistan still. I think if they are Taliban, they need some serious prison time with indoctrination. I suggested to congress folks --phone and letters etc. --that they show these guys the best of the world's films translated for them-the films that would make anyone laugh (like Home Alone) and films that touch the heart with the value of life and peace, love, loyalty, etc. They think America is all about Playboy values. Places of the Heart --and Amazing Grace --Schindlers List --A Beautiful Life (the one about the little boy in the Nazi prison with his father who made it seem like a game) and many others are so inspiring. If we are going to have a captive audience, let's teach 'em something! or try! they've seen little of the real western world, i think.
